Designed for the creative and curious thinking about purchasing or renting a quilting machine as well as those simply interested to know more about them. This 3 hour hands-on session will introduce you to the pleasures of free motion and pantograph quilting.

Work from the front of the machine and learn a variety of basic meanders and background filler designs.

Choose from a wide selection of sample designs and create a freehand sampler of 12 designs to take home.

In this 3 hour workshop you will learn how to correctly set-up a pantograph and work from the back of the quilting frame. You will be shown how to roll on and accurately reposition for repeat rows. You will also learn how to select / size and stitch out pantographs for the best possible results.

In this workshop you will learn how to take the basic stipple meander to a whole new level as you learn lots of freehand meanders to fill blocks, borders, sashing and cornerstones. Suitable for intermediate quilters wanting to build their portfolio of quilting designs.

In this full-day workshop you will learn how to freehand quilt a variety of feathers suitable for edge-to-edge, border or block work. During the session you will experience quilting traditional and longarm feathers and learn how to add more variety and interest to any basic feather design and transition to the next level. This class is suitable for any quilter who is comfortable with their quilting machine and feels confident with their freehand skills.

Think outside the box and use your quilting machine to make fantasy fabric, quilt-as-you go piecing, clothing projects, leatherwork and more.

During this creative playday you will experience working with a  variety of substrates including water-soluble and other non-woven textiles and make a make a couple of useful items to take home with you.

By the end of the 6hr workshop you will be thinking about your longarm in a whole new way!

Designed for users of the Intelliquilter Quilting Tablet.

During this 6 hr workshop you will learn how to use your tablet to create and edit pantographs, custom motifs, borders, sashing and more. 

You will also review additional features such as clipping blocks, no-sew zones, line pattern and computer art.

This is practical class using the Intelliquilter attached to a Gammill Optimum.

You will produce a working.sample to take home with you.

A 60 Minute talk about the philosophy of judging and the process of becoming a quilt judge.

A 60 minute talk for quilt groups, WI and Craft Associations. 

I qualified as a quilt judge in 2008 and have judged in UK, European and Internatonal shows over the last 12 years. It takes a minimum of 2 years to qualify as a Quilt Judge and the study involved is extensive.

In this talk I explain about the training, a typical judging day and give a few tips on making your quilts competition ready.
